Calm and neutral colours were chosen for walls and curtains in this dining room. Textures and subtle patterns played a vital part in the visual diversity of the interior scheme, so there is interest throughout, but the effect is not tiring or overpowering. This dining room is formal, yet inviting. The dining table was brought from Portugal. In its glass top you can see the reflection of the beautifully crafted crystal Italian chandelier. The rectangular lines of the table and the light are working in unison. Unusual mirror above the fire place captures the light and the painting opposite. The mirror’s shape is echoed by the lines and movement in the painting. This large original piece was done by Lana. Its darker colours provide depth and contrast to otherwise neutral look of the dining room.
